Connectivity to medical monitoring, equipment and electronic information systems

ICIS DashboardPerhaps one of ICIS' most significant features is modular architecture which allows you to add new functionality and data integrations to the system without distrupting current operations. ICIS "plug-and-play" functionality means you can easily customize the system to fit your facilities' needs immediately and then continue to add new features as your users and operations require.

Below are listed ICIS standard modules, all of which are available for ICIS Mobile, ICIS Dashboard and ICIS Datawall.

Custom modules and integrations are also available through our Integration Services Group.

Electronic Medical Records (ADT)

The ADT module provides access on the handheld or computer desktop to patient demographics, history and physical evaluations, consultation notes, radiology reports, and laboratory reports. Data is retrieved from a multitude of electronic data sources throughout the medical enterprise in a variety of formats, most notably HL7.

Realtime Vitals

Realtime Vitals moduleThe Realtime Vitals Monitoring module provides physicians with the ability to remotely view vital sign data from any networked bedside patient monitor in near real time. This module provides several data viewing modes including:

  • Waveform View - Simultaneous display of multiple waveform channels including but not limited to:
    • Single channel / Single lead ECG waveform
    • Multi channel / Multi-lead ECG waveforms
    • Invasive blood pressure channel waveforms (i.e. ART, PAP, CVP, ICP)
    • Respiration waveform
    • CO thermodilution curve
    • SpO 2 pulse plethysmographic waveform
    • EtCO2 waveform
  • Quantitative Vital Sign View
  • Temporal Trend View - This function is particularly useful for cardiologists, trauma surgeons, and neurosurgeons who are treating unstable critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.

Clinical Notes / Rounding Lists

Auto Notes moduleICIS' powerful Auto Notes module creates approximately 70% of the physician's standard daily notes by assembling results, reports, laboratory findings, and scan evaluations in an intelligent fashion. The physician adds to this compilation of objective data the results of the bedside evaluation and examination, and the medical plan for the day. This saves tremendous time and obviates the need for the physician to redundantly hand enter objective data from multiple other sources.

PACs Viewer

PACs ViewerThe PACs Viewer module allows the viewing and manipulation of images, such as chest X-rays, bone X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and virtually any medical imaging modality. Viewing functions include:

  • Window/level contrast adjustments
  • Zoom
  • Pan
  • Multi-slice scrolling
  • Cine mode
  • Image inversion and rotation
The resolution of images displayed is dependent on the type of device used and whether the display supports gray scale levels. In most cases the displayed images are of diagnostic quality and in virtually all cases they can be used for assessment and patient triaging.

Clinical Labs

Clinical LabsThe Clinical Labs module provides clinical results, including microbiology tests, which are obtained in real time via HL-7 feed and stored in a staging database. Automatically generated trends of laboratory parameters enable the physicians to anticipate adverse changes in patient status and to act proactively.

Mobile Telemedicine

Mobile TelemedicineThe mobile telemedicine module, ICIS Live, allows physicians to connect to virtually any hospital telemedicine system with just a laptop and mobile Internet connection. With ICIS Live doctors no longer have to go to a facility with the telemedicine system to use it. Coupled with the ICIS Dashboard and other ICIS modules physicians can see all of their critical patient data while engaging in the video conference.

Custom Modules & Integrations

Many times facilities have special needs for integrations with existing systems to extend functionality and interoperability. Our Integration Services Group is a team of software engineers and healthcare information systems experts who have developed an extensive set of tools and techniques that enable them to develop custom modules for you based on the ICIS platform. More information is available on our Integration Services page.
